Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced N4 Remote Area Nurse to join the team in Milikapiti, a remote Aboriginal community on Melville Island in the Tiwi Islands region of the NT. This is a unique opportunity to deliver primary healthcare services in a culturally rich and rewarding environment.
As a Remote Area Nurse, you will work as part of a small multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to the local community. Your role will include primary health assessments, chronic disease management, emergency care, health education, and collaboration with local Aboriginal Health Workers.

Experience and Qualifications Required
- AHPRA Registration
- You must have 4 years’ broad base nursing experience and 12 months Primary Health Care experience in remote communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with community members and build relationships.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure effective delivery of healthcare services.
- Flexibility and adaptability to the unique challenges and demands of working in a remote Aboriginal community.
- Two current clinical references
- Eligible to gain a National Police Check and an NT Working With Children Check
- Current certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an advantage
- Immunisation evidence.
