Description
Julia Creek, located in the heart of Outback Queensland, offers a fantastic opportunity to combine professional nursing experience with an adventure in one of the most beautiful and remote parts of Australia. We’re currently seeking one passionate Registered Nurses (RN) to join our healthcare team at a vibrant regional hospital.
About the Role:
As a Nurse in our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple areas, including:
- Aged Care: Provide compassionate, person-centred care for older residents, supporting their health and wellbeing in a community setting.
- Acute Inpatients: Manage the care of patients with a range of medical conditions in an inpatient environment.
- Emergency Department (ED): Triage, assess, and treat patients in emergency situations, gaining hands-on experience in fast-paced care.
- Outpatient Department (OPD): Support patients who require follow-up treatment and outpatient services

Experience and Qualifications Required
- AHPRA Registration
- Must have recent Rural & Remote experience within the last year, ED experience,
- Hold an Aged Care Police clearance
- RN’s need to have current ALS and ETEK triage certificates.
- Would prefer at least 5 years post Grad.
- Must be prepared to work all shifts across Aged Care, acute inpatients as well as ED/OPD.
- References mustinclude one from within those last 3 months and 1 from the last year.
- Immunisation evidence
- ASL competency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with community members and build relationships.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure effective delivery of healthcare services.
